I had the honor of photographing golf pro, Jon Decker last month. Jon is one of the best golf instructors you will find in Columbus, Ohio! Golf Digest listed Jon as “Best Teacher in the State of Florida” five times, and he was also named “Southern Ohio Teacher of the Year”. In 2008 he was on the PGA tour full-time as Bob Sowards’ instructor. He also taught in four PGA championships and the 2007 Women’s U.S. Open. Jon is the author of Golf is My Life: Glorifying God Through the Game.

My boys have been taking private golf lessons from Jon and we could not be happier. He not only knows the game, but is very good with children. He breaks everything down and shows them how to learn step by step. Jon is also flexible with their different personalities and learning styles.
He reads their personalities and teaches accordingly. My oldest is sensitive and calculated. He lives by rules and routines, so he naturally follows Jon’s order. He thrives by encouragment. My youngest on the other hand, is the great negotiator and thinks he knows better than anyone, haha. Jon is not thrown off by this. He quickly changes his pace and style to match their needs!
