There’s something special about photographing someone whose everyday life already feels like a work of art. Peggy, from One Pear Court runs a very successful Columbus Moms Blog. I was so excited when she reached out to me about capturing a big milestone. It was her 50th birthday! But, that wasn’t all she was celebrating. The year also consisted of her son’s graduation and her 20th wedding anniversary. She wanted to celebrate it in a big and powerful way by treating herself to a photo session. The Session Look – How Classy!
Peggy knew the colors she wanted used for this session and she brought gorgeous outfits. I love when clients put some careful thought into their wardrobe. She chose two classic styles: a black pantsuit and a stunning red gown. I honestly don’t know which was my favorite! We picked background colors that would make her and her outfits really pop.
Peggy was so confident in front of the camera and a natural at not only posing, but having fun. I told Alexa to play some nice jazz music and that set the mood. Peggy later told me jazz is her favorite genre and asked me how I knew. As it turns out, I just had a feeling!

I didn’t feel rushed (I had 2 outfit changes) and she had jazz music playing in the background (jazz is my favorite genre of music). Almost felt like I was taking photos in the comfort of my home.
