Prenatal Yoga Helps with Sleep

One problem expecting moms often encounter is trouble sleeping. Meditation is a great tool to have on hand for sleepless nights and anxious moments. By connecting your mind to your breath, a focus point or stillness, you can become more mindful and aware of your emotions. When you are more mindful, getting through the every day stressors doesn’t seem to be such a chore. It can relax you into sleep if you allow and practice.

Heather Frasher has designed a prenatal yoga program specifically for expectant mothers. She understands the struggles you may be facing. Heather looks forward each week to hearing mamas connect and feel part of a community in such an isolating time. Providing this space for expectant mamas has been a bright spot for Heather during a challenging year.

Prenatal Yoga Provides Connection

Each class starts with a check-in to share the challenges and successes of the week. It really helps build the connection between pregnant women and is a favorite part of class for many of the attending mamas. You’re heard. You aren’t alone. Nama Mama provides a space for each mama to feel what they feel. Then they move through a safe and empowering practice with tips and guidance on how to move for and with your changing body.

The movement helps prepare you for birth and bring self-awareness to your mind, body and soul. There’s no judgement, pressure or catch. Heather will guide you through practice so you can feel empowered about whatever choice you want to make for yourself and your baby during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood.

Class ends with a savasana (final resting pose, like you’re taking a nap) where Heather guides you through meditation or a reading from one of her favorite pregnancy books.

This practice is for all mamas that are safe to move during pregnancy.
Class is held each Monday at 7:30pm EST on Zoom.
Your first class is free!! Each class after is donation based. No commitment required, show up as many times as it works for you.
