Milestones for an Entire Year!

One Year Milestone Session

Wow, a year already! Harrison was the first newborn session I had in the new Powell studio. After that, I got to see him every 3 months for his Milestone sessions!

Newborn Session, Powell Ohio Studio

Most newborns love to be wrapped. It’s my go-to for getting a fussy baby settled. Harrison wasn’t fussy, but he definitely did not like being wrapped! The best we got was a half-wrap with his arms out. He was wide awake, but content in mom and dad’s arms.

However, he did let us pose him for some fun shots and dress him in cute outfits. The well-known couch photo was a request from his daddy. It took two assistants to hold him safely in place for this shot.

3 Month Milestone Session

The big milestone at 3 months is tummy time. Harrison loved gripping the fur and pushing up on his elbows. Daddy was cheering him on and Harrison gave the camera the biggest alert eyes and cutest babbles! 3 month photos are great for capturing eye contact and those new facial expressions!

Harrison was so sweet for the entire 3 month session. Dad is a big Astros fan and requested the natural -look with Astros colors. Harrison gave us the best little grins in his baseball onesie. We also did some outdoor shots on a special blanket the parents brought along.

At 6 months Harrison could sit up by himself for short bursts of time before toppling over. Mom stayed just out of the frame and caught him a few times before he face planted. Daddy loves this Carhartt hat and I think Harrison knew it! Look at that adorable face!

At 9 months Harrison could sit up much better without help. He was pretty serious for this session. He wasn’t fussy, but he sure was checking out my every move.

12 months! Harrison was again pretty serious, but as soon as Daddy walked in he turned on the smiles. Those two sure have a special bond.

One Year Milestone Session

We started with some cute outfits and different backdrops. Harrison was great about getting his outfits changed! We captured him pulling up to stand and his adorable army crawl. He really liked sitting in crates and baskets! After two outfits and two backdrops, it was time for the cake smash!

His one year birthday party theme was puppy dogs. I was so excited to try out some of my new props for his cake smash photos. I loved the twinkle lights, doghouse, and fire hydrant. Harrison wasn’t too crazy about his cake and kind of got upset once he tried the frosting. We still got some adorable photos, though!
